As part of the 2017 Metals in Construction competition, Nova submitted a building design that aimed to reduce the embodied energy typically found in a high-rise building, combating global warming in the process.
On February 24th, 2017, a jury of leading architects, designers and city planners announced Orbit Tower (ODA Architects & Werner Sobek New York) as the winner.

Nova worked closely with ODA architects to create an impactful and unique design. The twist in the building’s design, whilst visually appealing, also results in a more aerodynamic and energy-efficient building, in contrast to similarly sized rectangular buildings. Nova’s Team utilized the natural lighting and carefully chosen camera angles to create an impactful image that successfully represented the concept, resulting in the competition win.
